Anti-Inflammatory Medications Blunt the Anti-Aging Effects of Exercise

Researchers examined tissue samples of 12 men immediately following 10 minutes of high intensity interval (HIIT) cycling.

The exercise stimulated significant anti-aging effects via removal of aged and worn out cellular damage, but these beneficial effects were absent in subjects consuming anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medications.

Conclusions

Anti-inflammatory medications can interfere with the beneficial anti-aging effects of exercise.
